1. Mirimichi Golf Club

Mirimichi translates to “happy place of retreat”, and that’s exactly what you’ll find at this charming course that’s located mere minutes from downtown Memphis. This par 72 course is a championship-level track and plays at 7400 yards from tips. The views are striking throughout the course with lush, rolling hills, crystal-clear creeks, and jaw-dropping vistas. There are a whopping eight different tee setups on each hole to accommodate a wide range of skill levels.


2. The Links Fox Meadows

The Links is the perfect place to tee off for all of you beginners out there. The fairways are wide open so feel free to grip it and rip it without getting into too much trouble. It’s a really fun course to play and best enjoyed with a group of friends and a couple of cold ones on a warm Memphis day. Just remember not to drink and drive if you’ve had a couple of beers on the course.


3. Cherokee Valley Golf Club

Cherokee Valley is touted as the premier public golf experience in the Metro Memphis vicinity. The course is in immaculate condition from tee to green, including carpet-like fairways that you’ll enjoy hitting off of. There’s a full practice facility with a driving range, a chipping bunker, and three practice greens. Be sure to kick back at the elaborate clubhouse after the round and enjoy some of the great food they have on tap.


4. Timber Truss Golf Club

Timber Truss has been under new ownership for a couple of years, and you can really notice the difference in quality. The fairways and greens have improved drastically making the course both fun and challenging. The clubhouse has had a complete facelift and has a great outdoor seating area where you can enjoy some excellent food with fabulous views of the links. The green fees are reasonable and on par with others in the area.


5. Quail Ridge Golf Club

This spectacular 18-hole Championship Bermuda Golf Club will be sure to test your limits with its unique design and challenging pin placements on most days. Mature trees line the fairways providing that wilderness feel as you walk the rolling green hills past a winding creek that runs through the course. The fairways are quite forgiving for the most part, which is good news for those with hook or pull issues with the big stick.
